Description

Mission Essential is currently seeking Targeting Officers
to support an operational and analytical program for an
Intelligence Community customer in the Washington
Metropolitan Area. Targeting Officers serve an analytical
role in applying methodologies, technology, and tools,
to identify, extract, and analyze critical intelligence
information. Targeting Officers query, assess and analyze
information, systems and data to identify information
of interest; sustain and increase knowledge of complex
geographic and/or functional areas or issues; develop
plans and approaches to support requirements; aggregate
and distill complex data, relationships, and information
into succinct and effective language to inform decisions;
generate supporting research and relevant products to
advance projects and the production of reports; develop,
sustain, evolve and apply relevant skills to projects;
perform analysis and support to client personnel, to
include coordination, documentation, and progress
monitoring/reporting; adhere to, and incorporate relevant
regulatory and policy issues in the performance of targeting
duties; and use open source, GOTS, and COTS tools and
capabilities to manage and manipulate information.
A $1,000 referral incentive will be paid for
any referred candidate that Mission Essential employs on this program.

Minimum Requirements

Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance with
polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (or five years of
relevant work experience)
• Demonstrated experience in the IC performing similar
targeting work
• Knowledge and understanding of the Intelligence
Community’s operational mission
• Experience drafting and producing intelligence products,
including cables
• Ability to prepare and deliver effective briefings
• Ability to work well on a team or independently
• Professional-level foreign language capability a plus
Foreign field experience from at least one PCS tour or
extensive TDY experience of comparable duration
• Certification in intelligence operations tradecraft

and 7 or more years of work experience in the category for which the candidate is being submitted. 
Education equivalency cannot count as part of this experience.
4   Bachelor’s Degree (or 5 years relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree) 
and 12 or more years of legacy program customer – specific experience in the category for which the 
candidate is being submitted. Education equivalency cannot count as part of this experience.
5   Bachelor’s Degree (or 5 years relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree) 
and 20 or more years of legacy program customer – specific experience in the category for which the 
candidate is being submitted. Education equivalency cannot count as part of this experience
