Description

Mission Essential is seeking a Medical Specialist for our Pre-Deployment Processing Center (PDPC). 

This role provides administrative support to the PDPC's Medical Team in order to prepare candidates and employees for deployment overseas. Responsibilities include coordinating medical appointments, tracking medical results, conducting medical briefings, reviewing and submitting medical invoices, updating our database, finding medical resources for candidates, fielding and addressing ongoing questions and concerns, tracking various Operations reports and processes and integrating said tasks in coordinating and executing medical processes and procedures.    
  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate, schedule, and track candidates’ medical appointments     
  • Serve as a medical liaison
  • Coordinate efforts with candidates and various other departments (i.e. Security, Recruiting, Language, etc.) to educate, inform and address any issues or concerns 
  • Update medical section of our database
  • Review and scrub weekly PDPC potential roster in preparation for final PDPC arrival/wave report  
  • Present weekly medical brief. Provide overview of PDPC/CRC medical processing and schedule
  • Collect and proof medical paperwork in preparation for off-site medical testing
  • Serve as the POC for find resources for HOR candidates 
  • Archive medical files and documents
  • Coordinate Mental Health follow-ups with our medical provider
  • Send out medical notifications
  • Review, proof and submit medical invoices for weekly medical services
  • Train new staff members, as needed
  • Ensure strict compliance and adherence to HIPAA criteria and regulations

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Two to three (2-3) years’ experience in administration or related field 
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Efficient organizational and multitasking skills
  • Must be customer oriented and culturally sensitive
  • Must be able to collaborate and work cohesively within team   
  • Must be eager and willing to learn
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)  
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment

Desired Requirements

Exposure to the medical field in any capacity a plus
