JDISS Field Engineer





Mission Essential is currently seeking Field Engineers. An ideal candidate will have a strong background in Joint Deployable Intelligence Support Systems (JDISS) products including infrastructure, Global Command and Control System (GCCS) I3 and Collection Management Mission Applications (CMMA), software/system integration, technical documentation preparation, functional training, and support of IT products, systems, and services.  Travel will be required.

Installs new releases, upgrades, and patches of JDISS JPO product lines 
Trains and educates customer personnel on the functions and use of JDISS products 
Performs server and client maintenance and support 
Provides system demonstrations to customer commands/organizations
Maintains and troubleshoots websites and network, VOIP, and VTC equipment 
Develops and maintains training material
Provides JDISS-related support to the COCOMs, Component Commands, and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Regional Service Centers (RSC)s
Interfaces with end-users and JDISS JPO Help Desk to resolve hardware, software and training issues 
Performs on-going requirements analysis and reporting to supported organizations and JDISS chain of command 
Provides System Security safeguards in accordance with local information systems security procedures 
Possesses knowledge of DoD and IC Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), and tactical communications, as well as major intelligence databases, data feeds, and web-based services that are operated and/or deployed in these DoD and IC network environments
Integrates, deploys, and supports optional Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government  Off-the-Shelf  (GOTS)  intelligence  software applications and tools 
Delivers and supports releasable Intelligence Mission Applications (IMA), GCCS-I3 and JDISS software builds for reuse 
Provides on-site, remote, and fly-away Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Customer Support functions 
Maintains a thorough understanding of and ability to implement all applicable DoD Information Technology Management (ITM) practices 
Performs support in accordance with JDISS JPO and customer standards for Software/Systems Integration and life-cycle support 
Integrates, deploys, and supports IMA software suites

HS Diploma
3 to 5 years (dependent on position) of directly related JDISS product and/or equipment and IT system support experience
Top Secret clearance, based upon a SSBI, current within the past five (5) years 
Ability to achieve CompTIA Security+ certification

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
