JDISS Systems / Software Administrator





Mission Essential is currently seeking System / Software Engineer Installers. An ideal candidate will have a strong background in Joint Deployable Intelligence Support Systems (JDISS) products including infrastructure, Global Command and Control System (GCCS) I3 and/or Collection Management Mission Applications (CMMA), software/system installation and maintenance, Help Desk Support, OPSEVAL, technical documentation, and support of IT products, systems, and services.  Travel will be required.

Field installation of new releases, upgrades, and patches of JDISS JPO product lines
Performs systems administration and technical support of JDISS products at customer locations worldwide including COCOMs, Component Commands, and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Regional Service Centers (RSC)s
Troubleshoots products remotely or at the customer site if required
Uses feedback to improve JDISS training and documentation
Supports JDISS requirements definition and planning processes
Documents maintenance efforts
Provides Help Desk support including problem detection, reporting, resolution, and trend analysis for customer system and functional issues
Provides Tier 2 support to JDISS Field Engineers and coordinates with developer staff to resolve trouble tickets
Maintains logs, activity reports, status reports on monitored systems
Ensures up to date software is provided to the field sites
Performs support in accordance with JDISS JPO and customer standards

HS Diploma
8 years of directly related system level UNIX or Windows IT system support experience
Top Secret clearance, based upon a SSBI, current within the past five (5) years 
Ability to achieve CompTIA Security+ certification

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
3  years of directly related JDISS product support experience
Software development for Windows or UNIX systems
SQL-based system experience
Router, VOIP and VTC system configuration and management
Experience with any of the following: DHCP, WSUS, DNS, SNMP, PKI, Internet Information Services, Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, McAfee VirusScan Enterprise Protection, HBSS, TACLANE, ACAS, Sysprep, MS AIK, ImageX, Ghost, Acronis TruImage, standalone disk duplicators, Firewalls, VLAN, Subnets, and IPv6
Knowledge of ITIL
CISSP, CCNA, MCSE, MCITP, CCIP, ITIL v3 certifications
