Description

Mission Essential is currently seeking a Task Order Project Manager (TOPM) who will report directly to the DLITE Program Manager and serve as the lead for all staff and linguist interaction with military points of contacts (POCs) within an area of operations. The TOPM may be responsible for the management of staff and personnel located throughout multiple countries located within a COCOM. 

Accountable for all aspects of the task order execution and manages the hands-on, day-to-day execution of Task Order (TO)-related operational activities. 
Overall responsibility of the administration, safety, health and welfare, and overall management of all linguistic support services that directly support United States military and/or coalition forces. 
Responsible for TO Program Management Office (PMO) operations and resourcing of all TO requirements, including linguist staffing, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) accountability, and tasking responses. 
Responsible for meeting all technical, financial, and contractual requirements of the TO. 
Ensures that management processes and business systems facilitate meeting performance requirements. 
Is able to simultaneously manage and act on all matters relating to the daily operation of the TO.
Responsible for monitoring of key aspects of the program to ensure performance is within the scope of the performance work statement (PWS). 
Site visits to various locations to ensure a high level of performance and satisfaction for the end user.


Additional Requirements:

  • The TOPM will be based OCONUS and required to travel frequently to other locations. 
  • This position may require the employee to work long hours for extended periods of time and travel in a high risk environments. 
  • The ideal candidate will need to understand and implement Mission Essential policies, procedures, and SOPs to respond to personnel and customer inquiries. 
  • The candidate must be detail oriented, organized, and must demonstrate time management. 
  • The candidate is required to communicate and work effectively with other employees CONUS and OCONUS and have the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner as well as the ability to meet deadlines when applicable.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business related field
Experience: 15 years of management experience, including 10 years of supervisory experience

Skills: 
Possess the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates 
Excellent decision making ability and sound judgment
Ability to live and work in a deployed environment
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 

Security Clearance: Top Secret / SCI


Desired Requirements

The following experience is desired:
Knowledge of cultural, economic, geopolitical and military issues 
Previous experience working with linguists
Experience managing large groups of linguists (100+)

Education equivalency:
20 years of military experience (intelligence field preferred), AND
PMP Certification, or DAWIA Level II certification as PM
